Contactless card
A contactless card, also known as a proximity card, is a smart plastic card that contains a chip and an antenna.
Description
The antenna is embedded around the card and is responsible for facilitating radio transmissions between the card reader and the chip on the card. This radio wave includes both data and power for the chip to operate, and the card can be held up to 10cm away from the reader. Contactless processing speed is faster than that of contact cards.
There are several types of contactless cards available, including the Mifare, which is capable of storing and retrieving information directly, and is used for applications such as payment and toll collection for roads and bridges, as well as e-commerce transactions. The Proximity card uses Bluetooth technology to communicate with card readers, eliminating the need to swipe or enter information manually. It is used in a variety of applications, including for staff identification and access control.
We offer a range of contactless card solutions with different lifespans to suit various needs. These cards provide a more convenient and efficient way to process transactions and access control systems.
